First Music Video -Heartbeats

I researched this music video in great depth as i have recently watched a documentary on the making of this video which has lead me to love it.  The video shows 250,000 coloured balls being dropped down Filbert and Leavenworth Streets in San Francisco, the simplicity of this works magnficantly and has clearly been thought through and planned with accuracy.
This video is promoting a very laid back lifestyle which is shown by the artists attitude and enthusiasm sung to certain words. The use of colour in this video is very cleverly used as its controlled, its exaggerated to mark importance, for example the guitar is always shown bright and never dull. During the scenes where the performer is singing on stage his face and lips are always in focus in order to attract viewers attention. The bouncy ball scenes are also are contently in focus, bright and colourful and or of a clear importance. These artistic creation is a pleasure to watch mainly because the depth created in the scenes are incredible. To create a video to such a high level as is would be very hard to accomplish. The connection between the video and music is strong as this chilled song works very well with the slow motion clips.

The images above show us the front and back cover of the digipak, which I must also study. The front cover is very relatable to the video, I must keep this in mind whilst completing my video. I like the simplicity of the cover as it allows the focal point to be the name of the artist and the name of the album, despite the small size and plain white contrasting colour. The composition also intrugues me as the even use of colour keeps the eyes busy. The back cover is also very relatable to the video as is shows the artist himself. Te compostion is different compared to the front page as its set off side and the main focus is on Jose himself.
